American Portwell Technologies has released its new PICMG 1.0 single board computer (SBC).

The ROBO-8713BVG2 is based on Intel 865 chipset to support Intel LGA 775 processors, including Pentium 4, Pentium D, Celeron D as well as the Core 2 Duo.

Portwell's ROBO-8713BVG2 single board computer supports Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium D, Pentium 4, or Celeron D in an LGA775 socket that is equipped with dual-core, hyper-threading, EM64T, EIST, XD and VT technologies.

"ROBO-8713BVG2 is part of Portwell's product development planning of Intel LGA 775 processor that is entry level single board computer with the best cost/performance".

"Together with ROBO-8717VG2A that Portwell just launched few days ago and more boards in different form factors in near future are forming as crack product portfolio to see to successful transition of socket 478", comments Jack Lam, Senior Product Marketing Manager, American Portwell.

"The ROBO-8713BVG2 single board computer is a PICMG 1.0 PCI/ISA single host board that adopts the Intel 865GV Express chipset", explains Lam.

"This is the unique technology that Portwell applied it on the existing Intel chipset and supports the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which has speeds of up to 1066MHz".

"The 865GV chipset is famous for its competitive price among all Intel integrated graphics controller applied in the embedded appliance, and the graphics controller supports the necessary display functions for the industrial application at a wonderful cost/performance rate", adds Shen.

Portwell's ROBO-8713BVG2 single board computer includes dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, and dual SATA connector, plus: dual IDE channel; one FDD channel; eight USB 2.0 ports; dual serial port and a parallel port; GPIO; and watchdog timer.
