Impulse has launched the AEC-6911 from Aaeon Technology, an advanced embedded PC that adopts the latest Intel Atom processor to provide high performance and low-power computing.

The AEC-6911 is the first product of the Boxer A range.

It supports the Intel Atom N270 processor with 1.6GHz and DDRII SDRAM SODIMM system memory (up to 2GB).

This model features two PCI and two PCMCIA slots for expansion, four COM ports, two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet, and four USB 2.0 ports, which allows for communication with a wide range of devices at high transfer rates.

In addition, a Compactflash socket and one SATA/IDE hard disk is available for larger storage expansion.

The AEC-6911 is equipped with a VGA port, audio, and an S-video port, making it suitable for multimedia applications.

The advanced embedded controller has been designed to focus on the expanding machine automation market.

The fanless AEC-6911's expandable functions, compact size, and efficient heat dispersing design are suitable for rugged applications in factory control, machine automation, test instrumentation, safety surveillance, and intelligent transportation.

Full software and driver support is assured for Windows CE, Windows XP Pro, XP Embedded and Linux.
