Oven controlled crystal oscillators exhibit a very low phase noise of -160dBc/Hz at 10kHz.

NDK has developed a new line of OCXOs (oven controlled crystal oscillators) that exhibit a very low phase noise of -160dBc/Hz at 10kHz.

The 9325D has a nominal frequency of 100MHz, improving system phase noise for high frequency applications by reducing the multiplication factor.

The device also has very tight frequency stability of +/-50ppb maximum over the operating temperature range of -20 to +70C, and low harmonic distortion of -60dB typical.

It operates from +12V DC, with an output level of 3dBm minimum, and an output load of 50ohm.

The 9325D is in a compact 25.4 x 25.4mm 5-pin through-hole package with a height of 12.7mm.

It can be used in many applications including; the reference signal source for low noise, high frequency synthesiser/signal generators, signal source for 10Gbit/s optical test equipment, and as a phase locked atomic clock microwave output frequency.

The 9325D is RoHS compliant.

"This SC-cut OCXO is a leading edge product and allows NDK to fulfil a need in the market", said Mike Walczak, President, NDK America.
