The 7311S series is a crystal oscillator (XO) for datacomms and SAN systems that operate at high frequencies and require a low-jitter timing source.

The 7311S series is a crystal oscillator (XO) for datacomms and SAN systems that operate at high frequencies and require a low-jitter timing source.

The 7311S is available in an output frequency range of 100 to 170MHz.

Standard frequencies include 106.25, 125, 155.52, 156.25, and 161.1328MHz.

Its jitter performance is 3ps typical, and has a differential LV-PECL tristate output.

The 7311S operates on a supply voltage of +3.3V DC consuming 60mA typical, and has an enable/disable function.

The 7311S measures only 5.0 x 7.0 x 1.7mm, and the device is in a hermetically sealed SMD 6-pad package.

It incorporates a 150MHz high frequency crystal, with a leading edge proprietary one-chip generator.

The 7311S exhibits excellent frequency stability of +/-25ppm maximum over a wide operating temperature range of 0 to +70C.

A 0 to +85C version is also available.

The 7311S can be used in a wide range of applications including Infiniband, Gigabit Ethernet, 10Gbit Ethernet, Sonet/SDH and storage area network devices.

Cost for 1000 pieces of the 7311S is under $4.00 each.

Delivery for the 7311S series is 8 to 10 weeks.
