‘Crystal Oscillator’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Oscillator achieves ultra-low phase noise from Z-Communications, which we summarised at the time by saying "Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band for digital radio and fixed wireless applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Rakon TCXOs feature power management from Rakon: "Rakon has developed a range of digitally controlled temperature controlled crystal oscillator that can maximise battery life and minimise the electronic signature of military equipment. ".
In December 2010, we covered the news from MSC Vertriebs - take a look at Oscillator for PCIe-based embedded applications which says: "MSC Vertriebs has launched the SiT9107, a MEMS-based HF oscillator from Sitime, designed for applications such as Ethernet switches, solid-state drives, optical line terminals and servers.".
Take a look also at the news release from Silicon Laboratories, Bridge chip range for USB/(HID)-USB connectivity, as well as Mini oscillators for battery-powered applications from Saelig, and MEMS oscillator fits fibre-channel applications from IQD Frequency Products .
