Advantech has launched an innovative and enhanced CompactPCI enclosure, the MIC-3043.
Advantech has launched an innovative and enhanced CompactPCI enclosure, the MIC-3043.
The MIC-3043 comes equipped with hot-swappable and redundant cPCI power supplies.
The MIC-3043 platform supports one system slot, five peripheral slots for 6U cPCI boards, and six (IEEE1101.11) rear I/O transition boards for simplified system cabling.
The MIC-3043 provides flexible media storage solutions by featuring two hot-swappable SCSI/removable IDE HDD bays as standard and one slim CD-ROM.
The MIC-3043 is designed for mission-critical and high-reliability applications such as networking, telecommunications, computer telephony integration and image processing.
The MIC-3043 platform incorporates an industry standard cPCI redundant power supply.
Hot-swappable cPCI redundant power supplies and fan modules are designed to minimise MTTR (mean-time-to-repair) without disrupting operations.
The MIC-3043 offers 2+1 (500+250W) hot-swappable cPCI power supplies that receive input power from redundant DC or AC inputs.
The MIC-3043 is designed with two flexible HDD bays.
It accepts two removable IDE or hot-swappable SCSI hard disks.
The IDE interface supports two removable 3.5in HDDs with ATA100.
The built-in hot-swappable SCSI HDD bay is compliant with the Ultra320 SCSI interface.
Moreover, MIC-3043 also provides a built-in slim CD-ROM for access to CD-R media.
The MIC-3043 has a built-in high-quality backplane that supports a 64bit/66MHz bus with impedance control and full compatibility.
The H.110 bus or non-CT bus complies with PICMG 2.5, which is an open architecture for telecommunications and computer telephony integration solutions.
The MIC-3043 includes Advantech's MIC-3924L-A chassis management module (CMM), which is a 95 x 100mm removable module that is installed and operates in the rear of the chassis.
This chassis management module is without remote control for general purpose chassis monitoring only.
With an industry standard cPCI redundant power supply plus Advantech's renowned reliability, the MIC-3043 4U-high enclosure is a rock solid choice for communications and telephony applications.
It will be available at the end of November 2005.
