Start with the news release ACT unveils network attached storage platform from Elma Electronic UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "ACT/Technico, now part of Elma Electronic's Systems division, offers the Raidstor NAS Appliance, a compact, rugged network attached storage (NAS) platform. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Kontron board has advanced Serial ATA capabilities from Kontron UK: "The CompactPCI processor board Kontron CP307-RS features Serial ATA capabilities on the rear IO for enhanced storage capacity, faster transmission rates and high data safety. ".
In July 2009, we covered the news from Toby Electronics - take a look at Toby Electronics offers Ultra-Hard Metric socket which says: "3M has introduced an Ultra-Hard Metric (UHM) socket that can deliver backplane speeds in excess of 7Gbps in systems based on 2mm hard metric connectors. ".
