An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Evatronix launches embedded hub controller from Evatronix, which we summarised at the time by saying "Evatronix has announced the USBHS-Hub - a high-speed USB embedded hub controller to support the full range of USB host applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Mezzanine has a long (solid-state) memory from ACT/Technico: "The Flash PMCStor consumes less than 5W of power in operating mode and will fit single-board computers and carrier boards for CompactPCI, VME, VXS and VPX.".

In May 2007, we covered the news from Computer Solutions - take a look at USB drivers are made for embedded systems which says: "Driver software offers easy interfacing between embedded systems and the Universal Serial Bus.".

Take a look also at the news release from Jungo, USB software stacks run on ARM microcontrollers, as well as Single-chip bridge saves space in handheld devices from Oxford Semiconductor, and FireWire devices cut design challenges from Texas Instruments (April 2006-).
