Elemer Nyiry, Cine Power's founder and Managing Director, at one time worked for Saft.
In fact in the 1960s Nyiry developed some of Saft's earliest fast-charge battery systems.
Some years later when working for a leading UK broadcast equipment rental supplier he developed the first range of rechargeable batteries specifically for the film industry.

One of Cine Power's successful products is a 10Ah NiMh pack that delivers up to 40W and can pump up the camera holding dollies more than ten times between charges.
The recent introduction by Saft of the enhanced higher capacity 15Ah NiMh battery cells has brought about the introduction by Cine Power International of a completely new range of battery packs and belts which have received considerable praise for its performance and reliability.
A unique and highly advanced, compact, fully automatic fast charging system has been developed for these battery cells.
Elemer Nyiry and his wife, Diane, are totally involved in their business.
They meet and work with customers across the world.
And although they primarily serve the film and video business their battery packs are installed in the Space Lab and were used on the underwater unit that discovered the Titanic.
