Instrument system accelerates to PXI Express

A nine-slot PXI Express smart chassis and PXI Express controller are the latest additions to the Geotest family of PXI mainframes and controllers.
New from PDS Instruments, the GX7600 nine-slot PXI Express smart chassis series and GX7940 PXI Express controller are the latest additions to the Geotest family of PXI mainframes and controllers.
The GX7600 Series mainframes are compact nine-slot PXI Express chassis that can accommodate up to eight instruments as well as an embedded single slot PXI Express controller such as the GX7940 or a PXI Express remote bus controller such as the x1 or x4 MXI - PXI Express interface.
Like all other Geotest chassis products, the GX7600 incorporates built-in peripherals as well as chassis Smart functions, providing onboard per-slot temperature and power supply monitoring.
The GX7940 PXI Express controller is single slot controller and is available with a Pentium M 1.4GHz or 2.0GHz processor and up to 2Gbyte of memory.
The module supports Gigabit Ethernet and USB interfaces as well the GX7600's embedded storage peripherals.
