Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of precision resistor modules with the introduction of a PCI-based precision resistor card.

Model 50-297 is a high-density resistor simulator with a broad resistance range and high channel count that provides similar functionality to Pickering Interfaces' 40-297 PXI system.

It is available in three standard configurations, with resistance ranges of 1 ohm to 230 ohms, 2 ohms to 13.5 kohms and 3 ohms to 1.5 Mohms, with 18, nine and six channels respectively.

The six-channel version has a setting resolution of 0.125 ohms.

All versions have software interfaces for all programming environments based on simple resistance calls for each channel, allowing users to just request the resistance value required.

The modules include calibration data that enable the driver to select the nearest value of resistance available.
