The NT5032S series of SMD temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) measure just 5.0 x 3.2mm with a height of only 1.4mm typical.

The NT5032S series of SMD temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) measure just 5.0 x 3.2mm with a height of only 1.4mm typical.

Standard frequencies popular in GPS applications include 12.504, 16.384, 18.414 and 19.2MHz.

Standard frequencies popular in satellite radio applications include 23.92 and 30MHz.

Other frequencies are available.

The NT5032S exhibits an excellent frequency stability of +/-2.5ppm maximum over the broad operating temperature range of -30 to +75C.

The unit is designed with superior environmental performance including high impact and vibration resistance to handle rugged applications like GPS and satellite radio.

The device operates on the low supply voltage of +3V DC while consuming only 1.5mA maximum with a load of 10kohm/10pF.

The NT5032S has an output voltage of 0.8V (peak to peak) minimum and the AFC characteristics are +/-9 to +/-15ppm at 1.5V +/-1V.

Aging characteristics are +/-1ppm per year.

The NT5032S is in a ceramic based, metal covered, lead-free package, and they meet the requirements for reflow profiling using lead-free solder.

"The NT5032S can handle the harsh environments required for GPS and satellite radio applications".

"It also delivers excellent stability in a very small package", said Mike Walczak, President, NDK America.

Delivery for the NT5032S series is 10 to 12 weeks.

Cost for 10,000 pieces of the NT5032S packaged tape and reel is approximately $2.85 each.

Qualified engineering samples may be ordered at no cost.
