The NX2520DA series of ultrasmall, thin, surface-mount crystals measures only 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.6mm, making it 30% smaller than any of NDK's other crystals.

They exhibit optimum electrical performance required for miniature wireless applications.

The NX2520 is available in a fundamental frequency range of 20-80MHz.

Standard frequencies for these crystals include 20.000, 22.5792, 24.000, 24.756, 26.000, 27.000, 28.63636, 32.000, 40.000, 44.000, and 48.000MHz.

Their frequency tolerance is +/-10 to +/-100ppm over an operating temperature range from -10 to +60C.

The NX2520DA series maximum ESR (equivalent series resistance) is 100ohm in the frequency range from 20 to 30MHz and 50ohm from 30 to 80MHz.

"The number one request by EOEM designers from frequency device manufacturers, is higher frequencies in smaller packages.

NX2520DA is 30% smaller while delivering up to 45% higher frequency", said Mike Walczak, President, NDK America.

The NX2520DA comes in a ceramic-based metal-covered lead-free package, and meets the requirements for reflow profiling using lead-free solder.

Delivery of the NX2520SA is 8 to 10 weeks.

Cost for 10,000 pieces of the NX2520SA is about $0.65 each packaged tape and reel.

Engineering samples of popular frequencies are available from stock.
