Rugged power wirewound resistors are capable of handling temperatures as high as 275C.

Providing design engineers with a rugged power wirewound device capable of handling temperatures as high as 275C, TT Electronics IRC Wire and Film Technologies Division offers a series of axial wirewound resistors with power ratings from 0.5 to 9W.

Designated the CCW Series, the ceramic core resistors feature a welded construction, conformal coating making them suitable for a variety of high volume power electronic applications, including those in high temperature, harsh industrial environments.

"The wirewound resistors are constructed with a ceramic core, enabling them to operate in temperatures up to 275C", says David Winkler, Product Manager for IRC's Wire and Film Technologies Division.

"The high temperature rating, along with a withstanding voltage rating up to 1000V, makes these resistors ideal for commercial power supply and industrial applications".

The CCW Series film resistors feature power ratings from 0.5 to 9W, with a resistance range from 0.1ohm to 1.5kohm.

Standard tolerances for the devices are to +/-2, +/-5 and +/-10% with TCRs as low as +/-300ppm/C at values of 20ohm or less.

Operating temperature range is -55 to +275C.

Typical pricing for the CCW Series resistors is US $0.011 each in quantities of 50,000 pieces.

Lead time is from stock to 6 weeks.
