Everlight unveils SMD LED packages

To meet increasing environmental protection initiatives for LCD backlighting applications, Everlight Electronics has announced two SMD LED packages: 99-51 side view and 62-127 top view.
The 99-51 is a side view LED with up to 2,200mcd luminous intensity, and is intended for use in small size LCD backlight applications (under 10in).
These include notebooks, mobile phones, indicators, illuminators and switch lights.
The 62-127 is a top view LED with up to 7,200mcd luminous intensity, high flux output, and high current capability for use in large size LCD monitor/TV, light pipe applications, indicators and backlighting in office and home equipment.
Both packages offer wide viewing angles of 120deg typical, and low power consumption in order to equalise the light source and save energy.
These SMD LEDs are also used for light guide plate applications.

The 99-51 and 62-127 SMD LED packages offer a combination of features and specifications suitable for LCD backlighting of notebooks and large TVs.
