ASMT-Jx3x 3W LED provides 165-degree viewing angle

Avago Technologies has introduced the ASMT-Jx3x bright 3W LED for use in a range of solid-state lighting applications.
The ASMT-Jx3x can be driven to up to 700mA to provide high flux output performance.
Typical applications include portable lighting appliances, street lighting, architectural facade lighting, retail display lighting, backlighting and a range of specialty lighting applications.
The ASMT-Jx3x provides a maximum viewing angle of 165 degrees to meet the needs of designers that require good colour and light output uniformity in their lighting applications.
The ASMT-Jx3x can handle high thermal and high drive currents.
It delivers a high flux output of up to 160 lumens (lm) at 700mA.
It features a maximum allowable junction temperature of 135C and high electrostatic discharge (ESD) resistance of 16kV.
This removes the need for special ESD protection equipment to handle the part during installation.
This 3W LED is compatible with standard SMT reflow soldering processes and helps lower design cost while providing lighting designers with more freedom and flexibility in designing their applications.
The ASMT-Jx3x features: silicone encapsulation, electrically isolated heat sink, long operating life, low thermal resistance and moisture sensitivity of MSL 1.
It is compatible with reflow soldering processes.
It has dimensions of 5 x 4 x 1.85mm and is available in the following colours: red, red orange, amber, green, blue, royal blue, cool white, neutral white and warm white.
It is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant.
