Components Corporation has released three RoHS-compliant, colour-coded, PCB-mountable test point series.
The TP-104, -105 and -106 test point series provide a simple solution to board level testing of today's high-density PC boards.
Engineered specifically for fabricators of high-density PCBs, the low-profile, through-hole components may be specified for use in a wide range of consumer, medical and aerospace applications.
Devices are designed to ensure a secure, nonslip grip of alligator clips, probes, J-hooks, tips and grabbers.
They eliminate the risk of skin punctures which may result from the use of turret terminals and wire-wrap posts.
The loop-style TP-104 and oval-loop style TP-106 series of colour-coded test points feature 1.6mm mounting holes and are provided precut to any of 30 positions.
They are offered on breakaway strips with 0.125in centres to make storage and handling convenient.
The TP-105 series has a loop profile for positive loop retention and fits into a 0.035in to 0.042in hole.
The part additionally features 3.175mm centres and is available in up to 40 positions.
All colour-coded test points are easy to install individually as well as in tandem when using Component Corporation's hand tools.
The tools facilitate robust and reliable PCB mounting, as they are engineered to separate, grip and position test points in one motion.
Ensuring the highest standards in performance, components are manufactured of phosphor #510 alloy and 100% matte tin over nickel underplate.
Their plastic bases are UL94V0-rated and offered in 10 colours, including red, white, black, orange and yellow.
The collar is 15% glass-filled polyester.
