Start with the news release Oscillator achieves ultra-low phase noise from Z-Communications, which we summarised at the time by saying "Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band for digital radio and fixed wireless applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Mini oscillators for battery-powered applications from Saelig: "Saelig has introduced four new ranges of low-voltage crystal oscillators in miniature surface-mount packages that are well suited for use in battery-powered applications.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Elma Electronic - take a look at Rugged coded switches for military applications which says: "Elma Electronic is offering a rugged version of its type 07 line of coded switches for use in military/aerospace, portable medical, industrial automation, vision/imaging and mobile PC applications.".
