Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced a series of CMOS bus switches that provide a compact solution for bidirectional voltage translation and efficient isolation between host and peripheral ICs.

The TC7SPB9306/07TU 1-bit bus switches can be connected to two independent power supplies, with the A-side supporting voltages from VCCA = 1.65V to 5.0V and the B-side supporting voltages from VCCB = 2.3V to 5.5V.

By combining the bus switch with external pull-up resistors, Toshiba Electronics Europe said designers can implement bidirectional interfacing between low-voltage systems as low as 1.8V and high-voltage systems up to 5.0V.

A choice of active high OE (output enable) and active low OE is available with the TC7SBP9306TU and TC7SBP9307TU respectively.

The switches operate with a low ON resistance (RON) of 5ohm and quiescent current of 1uA.

Every pin in the device is equipped with ESD protection according to Machine Model and Human Body Model of at least 200V and 2,000V respectively.

Additionally, OE and I/O pins are equipped with power-down protection.

Supplied in ultra-miniature UF6 surface-mount packaging, the 1-bit dual supply bus switch has dimensions of 2.0 x 1.7 x 0.7mm.
