Richco has a new range of brass and metal spacers, designed for use in the PCB market.

Richco has a new range of brass and metal spacers designed for use in the PCB market.

The range comprises two mild steel varieties of spacer and, for the first time, two varieties of brass spacer that are RoHS compliant.

The spacers are available in different materials to accommodate different chassis and sheet materials.

The HTSM-1 and HTSM-2 ranges are made of mild steel with zinc plating, a maximum torque of 500N/mm2 and a tolerance of +/-0.1mm.

The spacers are available in lengths from 5 to 120mm and widths from 4 to 13mm.

The HTSM-1 spacers have two female connections while the HTSM-2 spacer has one male and one female connection.

The HTSB-1 and HTSB-2 lines are fabricated in brass with a nickel coating, again the -1 suffix has two female connections and the -2 suffix has a male and a female connection.

The brass spacers come in lengths ranging from 4 to 70mm, and widths from 4 to 8mm.

All brass spacers have a maximum torque of 430N/mm2 and a tolerance of +/-0.1mm.

Also newly released from Richco is a range of self-tapping spacers, which also offer a choice of mild steel or brass for different chassis/sheet materials.

These self-tapping spacers are easily installed on punched, non threaded holes and have been designed to reduce assembly and installation time.

No extra accessories, such as closing washers or nuts, are needed because of the self-tapping thread, reducing the overall time and cost of implementation.

Using the self-tapping spacers also eliminates the use of metal connection grids.

Richco's self-tapping spacers are available in a variety of lengths and thread sizes, lengths from 8 to 20mm and widths from 1.8 to 3.4mm.

The last new spacer products Richco has added to its product card at this time is a series of D-sub spacers that are also primarily intended for the PCB market.

These 5mm long spacers are also available in both brass and mild steel and have a variety of different thread sizes and styles to ensure their fitness for all applications.

Thanks to the materials used, all Richco spacers provide excellent electrical conductivity from the PCB to the chassis/sheet and therefore are are ideal for grounding applications against EMI/RFI.
