American Industrial Systems (AIS) has introduced a line of rugged, touch-screen computers for in-the-field environments and conditions.

The PCs feature enhanced environment protection meeting MIL-STD-810F compliance standards including shock/vibration, drop and high/low temperature.

Water/Dust resistance is rated to IP65 for outdoor performance.

Powering the unit is Intel's fanless Atom N270 1.6Ghz Processor.

The rugged panel PC can be used in vehicle and agriculture applications, as well as marine, military, mobile communication and warehousing.

The PCs are constructed of aluminum-magnesium alloy housings for maximum protection.

Specialised vehicle-mounting brackets are available, as well as standard VESA spacing holes for quick and easy mounting.

Additional enhancements are available, such as anti-corrosion coatings, wide-voltage-range input, sunlight readability enhancements, and touch-screen integration to customise the panel PC to exact requirements.

The units are available in 8.4 and 10.4in sizes.

AIS ruggedised computers are available commercially off the shelf, pre-engineered and ready for deployment to reduce time to market.
