Low Power Radio Solutions (LPRS) has announced the introduction of the latest wireless modules from Circuit Design.

The CDP-TX-02E-R and CDP-RX-02E-R radio modules are intended for wireless-enabled industrial products being designed for the US market.

The modules are housed in small and robust shielded cases and require a small number of additional components to make a working radio system.

With narrow band FSK modulation the modules are resistant to noise and the high-sensitivity receiver ensures stable operation even in weak signal fields.

The CDP-TX-02E-R and CDP-RX-02E-R achieve a line-of-sight communication distance of more than 600m with only 10MW power output.

The modules feature a small footprint, high frequency characteristics, and resistance to mechanical vibration and shock.

Barry Gillibrand, managing director of LPRS, said: 'The US model runs at 457 MHz and the European model at 434 MHz and they are pin compatible, enabling users to develop products for both American and European markets with a common interface.

The modules have received wireless authorisation with CE approval for the European model and FCC approval for the US model.

The radio frequency can be selected from 32 pre-programmed channels in 25 kHz steps, or by setting an arbitrary frequency channel.

The modules have a wide operating temperature from -20C to +60C, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

With strong blocking performance and selectivity, the modules offer reliability and stable operation even in high noise environments.
