Continuing new design opportunities for rotary switches are strengthening Lorlin Electronics position as a major switch supplier.
The Lorlin RA series of rotary switches includes miniature, 25.4mm diameter multiwafer rotary switches with up to 10 wafers with six poles per wafer, user-adjustable stops and solder terminal connections.
Switches with up to two wafers also available with PCB terminals.
The RA series has a robust design with metal spindles of 6 and 6.3mm diameter.
Bushes and detent housings are also made out of metal.
Detent indexing is available at 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees.
Switch contacts may be specified as silver, gold flash or gold plated.
Contacts are available as make-before-brake or brake-before-make and rated at 1A at 12V AC and DC and 150mA at 250V AC.
A separate mains 4A-rated on/off switch module can be added to the assembly.
The RA series is manufactured in the UK to ISO 9001 standards, with a readily available prototyping service.
Some of the most common types of customisation of Lorlin's RA series rotary switches include custom detents, tactile modifications, modified shaft lengths and flats and multiple termination and customer-specified cabling options.
Lorlin's RA rotary switches may be used in any application that requires rugged construction and virtually limitless switching options.
Applications include avionics navigation and communications equipment, test and measuring equipment, measurement systems and gauges, broadcast and audio equipment, automotive and traction systems, military communications and control systems.
