New help for optoelectronics manufacturers

IPTE Optronics is a new division located at IPTE Headquarters in Genk, Belgium and specialising in optoelectronics and photonics applications.
IPTE Optronics is a new division located at IPTE Headquarters in Genk, Belgium and specialising in optoelectronics and photonics applications.
The new organisation follows IPTE's recent acquisition the Philips Centre For Industrial Technology and the process development group of Philips Optical Storage.
The roots of this group go as far back as the birth of the CD player in the early 1980s.
The facility evolved towards a competence centre and pilot factory in optical technologies.
With its competences and experience in optical technologies, the company offers its services in the field of optical storage, optical multimedia in automotive, free-space optics, laser communications and electronic imaging.
IPTE Optronics designs, manufactures and installs after-care for production equipment, measuring systems based on optical techniques, fine precision mechanics and mechatronics control loops.
"We started the activity in order to facilitate the rise of photonics and optoelectronics", says CEO Huub Baren, "IPTE Optronics has a well balanced group of people in different areas: optical, fine precision mechanics, electronics and software.
Our competences are based on multi-year experience in free-space optics.
IPTE Optronics provides in engineering-services to help our clients with their product design in order to industrialise their products in the world of photonics and optoelectronics".
