A hand-operated hydraulic crimping tool has a latchless flip-top style head that provides easy tool removal from continuous conductor runs, and eliminates the need to purchase and maintain dies.
FCI-Burndy Products introduces its new Y81KFT four-point dieless Hypress hand-operated hydraulic crimping tool.
The Y81KFT incorporates a latchless flip-top style head that provides easy tool removal from continuous conductor runs, while eliminating the need to purchase and maintain dies.
The Y81KFT is ideally suited for use on copper, aluminium, compressed, compact, stranded, solid and flex conductors.
Delivering almost 60kN of crimping force, yet weighing just 5.4kg, the ergonomically sound Y81KFT delivers incredibly easy termination and splicing.
Also, the Y81KFT's head rotates 360 degrees relative to the handles and is mated to a patented rapid advance pump.
FCI-Burndy's Y81KFT comes complete with a moulded, high-impact plastic case and a 5-year limited warranty.
This crimping tool is UL Listed and CSA certified with range taking capabilities when used in conjunction with Burndy Hylug and Hylink terminals and splices.
Other advanced features include: an audible pressure "pop-off" valve and die embossment providing 360-degree inspectability, and a convenient ram release located in the handle.
