Electronic Keyboards has developed a novel rugged industrial mouse.

Electronic Keyboards has developed a novel rugged industrial mouse.

The IM1013 detects the user's finger optically to provide quick and accurate positioning of the cursor.

Separate left and right buttons with audio feedback are used to give unambiguous operation of the IM1013 by all skill levels.

Optionally in applications that only require a left button the IM1013 with no buttons can use a tap or double tap anywhere on the touch surface to input a left button.

The same patented technology used in the company's keyboards rated at 30 million touches per year is used in the IM1013.

The technology allows no detection means on the touch surface, so the user can even stick a knife in the touch surface and not affect the life or operation of the IM1013.

This allows a contiguous exposed surface of thick polycarbonate protecting the electronics with no seals or rubber glands to crack or wear out.

The IM1013 is guaranteed never wear out and guaranteed never to leak.

The top surface, being relatively plana,r can also be easily washed off.

Because the unit detects the finger optically, the user can wear gloves, or use one, two or three fingers when positions the cursor.

The large touch surface is 3 x 3.75in and can be customised to a customer with colours, preference in keys, and special key text at no additional charge in quantity one.

Other top surface controls are drag and variable tracking speed.

With drag enabled the operator with one finger can position the cursor over an icon, touch drag, the drag status LED illuminates, then position the icon with the finger.

Then when the finger is released from dragging the drag function is automatically reset and the status LED turns off.

Using the variable tracking key with three LED status indicators of tracking level speed, the cursor can be rapidly moved to an icon region and then with one touch be in fine tracking to position the cursor over small icons.

The IM1013 can be horizontally or vertically mounted either on a surface or flush mounted in a surface to NEMA 4, or used stand-alone.

The IM1013 comes with a gasket and has a protruding flange so when flush mounted finishes off and seals the customer's mounting panel.

When surface mounted IM1013 comes with either a black, grey or off white bezel.

Flush mount NEMA 4A/IP-66 IM1013-FM price is $169, the surface mount NEMA 4A/ IP-66 IM1013-SM price is $184.

The stand-alone IM1013-SA is wash down from the top is priced at $184.

The stand-alone NEMA 4 IM1013-SA-N4 priced is $209.
