Machines often receive rough treatment, and so Grayhill offers the option of a meaty 0.25in-thick shaft size on several of its multi- and single-deck rotary switches.
The Series 71 offers multiple-PCB-switching capability, a maximum diameter of 0.75in and a low behind-panel depth, so it doesn't sacrifice compactness for features and durability.
In the 0.25in shaft size, it is particularly suited to machine tools, test equipment and military applications.
These switches are well suited for use with large knobs and dials.
There's a wide choice of switches and mounting options within the 71 range, including: a 90-degree-mounting version with terminals from one side and 30-degree and 36-degree angles of throw; a dual, concentric-shaft option which allows the function of two rotary switches to be fitted in the panel space of a single switch; and a sealed 90-degree-mounting option which does not need to be hand soldered.
The Grayhill 26 Series offers the same 0.25in shaft size with either BCD or grey-coded output.
This is well suited to machine tool and military applications that may require large control knobs or are prone to rough treatment.
Finally, the Series 50 and 51 offer wide shaft sizes where only a single deck is required.
Each rotary switch can handle a maximum of 0.25A and up to 12 switching positions.
There is also a wide choice of shaft and bushing sizes depending on the desired application.
