Mechanical rotary with protective die cast housing is ideal for applications that involve a high sideways loading on the switch.

Available now from Cynergistic Technologies, the DDM 427 mechanical rotary encoder has been further improved with the addition of a protective die cast housing option.

The new housing is ideal for applications that involve a high sideways loading on the switch or where the end equipment could be subject to rough handling.

The switch is available with or without pushbutton, 16 or 30 positions impulses and with several different torque settings.

Both through-hole and SMD versions are available, and the parts can be customised with flying leads or cable assemblies.

The SMD version can be supplied with a snap in shaft for fitting after reflow.

The range still includes O-ring seals, various shaft types and a choice of shaft lengths.

Full-custom types can be produced to order.

Other product in the DDM range include miniature rotary switches, pushbuttons, slide switches and keylocks.
