The QPX1200L from TTi is a revised version of the company's Powerflex regulated 1,200W power supply unit with extra features including an extended remote control interface option.

The unit incorporates an LXI compliant Ethernet interface that can provide a low-cost alternative to GPIB in many system applications.

LXI (LAN Extensions for Instrumentation) is the LAN-based successor to GPIB, combining the advantages of Ethernet with the simplicity of GPIB.

Designed to conform with LXI 1.2, the LAN interface of the QPX1200L includes a built-in web server that provides information, configuration and control via a web browser.

LXI-based systems require no dedicated controller and can be wired using low-cost cables, resulting in savings for large test systems.

Other remote control interfaces fitted as standard are RS-232 for legacy applications, USB for simple PC connection and voltage control analogue.

For those preferring to stay with GPIB, the QPX1200L is available with a GPIB interface in addition to all the others.
