The PCM-9380 is the latest powerful 3.5in embedded SBC from Advantech based on the Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processor.

The PCM-9380 is the latest powerful 3.5in embedded SBC from Advantech based on the Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processor.

The new single board computer is designed with the Intel 855GME chipset, and delivers efficient power consumption with excellent heat dissipation.

This cooling feature is ideal for applications requiring low power consumption or fanless operation.

The PCM-9380 with its new Module I/O (MIO) interface answers the need for a powerful and flexible 3.5in SBC requiring fewer cables, high resistance to vibration, and plenty of expansion possibilities.

The PCM-9380 is based on the powerful 2GHz low power Intel Pentium M processor and uses Intel's 855GME and IC4H chipset.

This chipset is specifically designed for embedded computing and delivers 400MHz front side bus speed and an optimised integrated graphics solution with a 32bit 3D core.

The PCM-9380 supports DDR memory up to 1Gbyte with ECC for improved reliability and data integrity.

Other onboard features include VGA/LCD/LVDS connectors for dual independent displays and 1000Base-T Ethernet for gigabit networking.

Advantech designed the open-pin definition MIO to be simple and versatile.

It integrates the most popular bus signals together into a high-density 160-pin connector.

These signal buses include PCI, High-Speed USB 2.0, Digital Video Output (DVO), Low Pin Count (LPC) and AC97 audio, and because the MIO connector interfaces directly with other modules it means there are fewer cables, allowing better heat dissipation.

A variety of embedded addon modules are available to further expand the possibilities of PCM-9380, such as MIO-253 with four serial port support, MIO-254 with TV-out/S-Video, and DVI interfaces, and MIO-250 with three fast Ethernet ports for industrial automation, kiosk/retail and networking applications.
