Advantech's new SOM-4481 is a powerful, fanless SOM-ETX CPU module able to drive the most demanding embedded applications requiring high performance CPU processing power and graphics support.
With support for Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors up to 1.1GHz and enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology, the SOM-4481 offers developers a low power and scaleable solution that fits a range of needs.
The Intel 855GME/ICH4 core chipset has a high performance 3D 4x AGP graphics engine, giving platforms superior multimedia capability using ECC double datarate (DDR) and offering USB 2.0 support.
The SOM-4481 offers flexibility not only in CPU choices, but also in how the system on module is used with the carrier board.
Customers simply design their carrier board that supports their application, and plug in the SOM-4481 CPU module.
Customers are not limited to any specific (standard) form factor, creating more freedom to customise their solution to meet niche market needs.
Customers can also more easily offer different performance options by simply choosing a different system on module to match their needs.
This allows for different versions of the same carrier board and chassis combinations, giving customers more choices and developers more flexibility and faster time to market response with the ability to develop multiple solutions better tailored to match customer needs.
