With 32 analogue outputs, the new PCI-1724U from Advantech represents a cost-effective option for applications with many analogue channels.

With 32 analogue outputs, the new PCI-1724U from Advantech represents a cost-effective option for applications with many analogue channels.

It is designed with a universal PCI connector, compatible with both 5 and 3.3V signalling.

Furthermore, isolation up to 1500V ensures that the card can be used in a rugged environment such as those common in industrial control systems.

Driver support is provided with a wide range of DLL drivers that enable complex software-based I/O functions.

Flexible output ranges of -10 to +10V, 0-20mA and 4-20mA add to the versatility of the PCI-1724U.

Applications include: V-command motion control, multiple loop PID control, servo control, programmable voltage source or current sink and process control.

The PCI-1724U is designed for synchronised output, which ensures that no time delay exists in the target system.

This is necessary in some applications such as dual-systems or system applications with many devices running in parallel.

When the system is hot reset (power is not shut off), the PCI-1724U can still keep its output values.

This practical function eliminates dangers caused by unexpected system resets.

The PCI-1724U is scheduled to be available in July.
