The PCI-6870 half-sized CPU card from Advantech provides a high-performance PCI based expansion solution for systems integrators.

Its 32bit, 33MHz performance, coupled with high-grade video and audio, two COM ports; one of which is switchable, plus Ethernet and infra-red capabilities make the PCI-6870 a powerful communications platform.

The Intel 815E equipped card supports 0.13 and 0.18 micron, socket 370 FCPGA Pentium III and Celeron processors up to 1.26 and 1.2GHz, respectively.

An onboard DIMM socket means that a system memory of up to 512Mbyte can be installed.

The PCI-6870 utilises the VGA controller in the 815E chipset and supports direct AGP.

The VGA memory is UMA shared up to 4Mbyte.

Two serial and two USB ports, a single parallel port, a 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface and an SIR IrDA-compliant infra-red port give the card its comprehensive communication ability.

Further interfaces enable the connection of other modules such as floppy disk drives and IDE devices.

The PCI-6870 requires a 5V power supply and draws a maximum current of 8A.

It has an operating temperature range of 0 to +60degC.

The overall dimensions of the card are 185 x 122mm and it weighs 0.26kg.
