The Adam-6000 series from Advantech is an Ethernet based family of data acquisition and control modules for use in applications such as building automation, unmanned stations and environmental monitoring sites.

Internet connectivity and web pages enable users of Adam-6000 to achieve high-speed control and acquisition of data from anywhere in the world.

Firmware upgrades are also possible via the Internet.

Products in the Adam-6000 series can be combined to create an integrated system that is specifically designed to meet the exact needs of a given application.

Modules available include a comprehensive range of analogue and digital multifunction I/O devices, plus networking and communications controllers and specialist products such as video and thermocouple input modules.

The common specification that covers the Adam-6000 range underlines its capability for powerful performance in harsh environments; 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet communication is coupled with intelligent I/O, polling and event handling and Modbus/TCP protocol.

Modules are able to operate from an unregulated DC supply between 10 and 30V, and also have built in protection against power reversal.

The operating temperature range for Adam-6000 products is -10 to +70C in a noncondensing relative humidity of between 5 and 95%.
