Designed primarily for high-end multimedia point of sale (POS) applications, the POS-7671 from Advantech is a powerful single-board computer that supports 133/100 MHz Pentium III and Intel Celeron processors up to 500MHz.

The POS-7671 has an industrial grade construction making it suitable for continuous use in harsh environments.

Numerous onboard features and interfaces are included to give it the utmost flexibility and functionality.

The compact all-in-one design of the POS-7671 helps to simplify system integration and enhances overall reliability.

Two 64-pin flexible I/O connectors provide Ethernet, audio, USB, DI/O plus serial and parallel ports.

These coupled with an EBX form factor dimension make the POS-7671 a truly cableless SBC.

Among the key onboard features are a 10/100 Base-T PCI Ethernet, AC97 3D stereo and 48bit XGA TFT LCD panel and SSD DOC 2000 support.

Further expansion of the PC compatible POS-7671 can be achieved via a PCI expansion interface.

Connection to a wide array of remote POS peripherals such as cash drawers can be made by using the two USB and four RS232 ports.

Further connectors enable the attachment of a keyboard and mouse.

System memory is connected via a single 168-pin DIMM socket.

The computer is able to support between 32 and 256Mbyte via this interface.

Other features included on the POS-7671 that are not seen on most other mother boards for this type of application include a watchdog timer and an SSD socket to support DiskOnChip Flash modules.

Maximum power requirements for Advantech's POS-7671 are 4.5A at +5V.

The unit is able to operate between 0 and +60degC.

Overall weight is 850g.
