Viktor Lapinskii, Senior Software Engineer with AmmoCore Technology, will receive "best paper" honours at DAC for a paper he cowrote as part of his dissertation while at the University of Texas.
Viktor Lapinskii, Senior Software Engineer with AmmoCore Technology, will receive "best paper" honours for a paper that he cowrote for the journal ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems (TODAES) as part of his dissertation while at the University of Texas.
The award will be presented by Bob Walker, the ACM SIGDA Chair, during the opening session of the Design Automation Conference.
Lapinskii cowrote the paper "Cluster assignment for high-performance embedded VLIW processors" with Margarida F Jacome, Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, at the University of Texas at Austin, and Gustavo A De Veciana, Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, at the University of Texas at Austin.
The trio has collaborated in the past to earn honours.
At the 2000 International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD), they were presented the IEEE Bill McCalla Best Paper Award for their paper, "Exploring performance tradeoffs for clustered VLIW ASIPs".
The award will be presented on Tuesday 8th June at the Design Automation Conference in San Diego, California at the San Diego Convention Centre, Ballroom 20ABC during the Opening Session.
The Opening Session and Keynote begin at 0830 local time.
