Upgraded harmonic/flicker measurement software allows engineers without specialised knowledge to perform a range of operations using the WT3000 precision power analyser

Yokogawa has released a new version of the harmonic/flicker measurement software for its WT3000 precision power analyser has been released to comply with new international power-quality standards.

The new 761922 harmonic/flicker measurement software has been developed in response to new regulations for harmonic current over 16A, which will be enforced as a low-frequency EMC test from February 2008.

The new standards include precise definitions of measurement procedures and settings.

EN61000-3-11/IEC61000-3-11 includes imitations on voltage fluctuations and flicker in equipment with a rated current of over 16A per phase.

EN61000-3-12/IEC61000-3-12 includes limits for harmonic current emissions in equipment with a rated current over 16A per phase.

The upgraded harmonic/flicker measurement software allows engineers without specialised knowledge to perform a range of operations using the WT3000 precision power analyser, including value limit judging functions for standards compliance and the production of test reports.

The software requires the WT3000 precision power analyser to be fitted with the 30A input option as well as the computation and flicker measurement functions.
