The LX100 provides a graphical display of all the essential test data required for effective troubleshooting, including attenuation, noise, TDR measurements, burst noise waveform and complex impedance.

Applications of the LX100 include verifying the signal/noise margin necessary for ADSL services, determining the locations of loading coils and bridge taps, estimating the source of crosstalk noise and burst noise, analysing NEXT (near-end crosstalk), extended time noise logging, and impedance measurement.

The instrument offers a wide dynamic range, enabling it to be used for the qualification of high-bitrate services.

It can measure noise down to extremely low levels (-140dBm/Hz), and will carry out measurements on attenuation levels of up to 100dB.

An auto test mode provides fast, complete and foolproof loop performance certification, with easy configuration of test coverage, parameters and limits.

The instrument is fitted with a PC compatible PCMCIA memory card slot, which allows, results, limits and customised tests to be saved, and results can be integrated with PC programs such as Excel for report generation and analysis.

The instrument is housed in a rugged, waterproof and dust-resistant case for field use.

It measures 288 x 195 x 82mm and weighs 2 kg, and can be mains or battery operated.
