Yokogawa has developed a novel combination product to meet the challenges of expanding CANbus applications in the automotive and other industrial sectors.
The new DL7200 CANbus signal analyser is a high-performance oscilloscope with CANbus trigger and analysis functions that allow waveform and digital data to be examined concurrently.
The instrument is ideal for debugging, examining noise or level fluctuations, and viewing CANbus signals simultaneously with other control inputs.
A wide choice of trigger options combined with high-speed search functions makes it possible to rapidly identify and analyse problem areas in data that has been captured and stored in the DL7200's large memories.
The instrument supports both high-speed and low-speed CAN specifications at data rates between 33.3Kbit/s and 1Mbit/s.
Waveforms of up to 16Mword can be captured into memory, with bus activity viewed simultaneously with analysis results.
This enables the user to easily verify how noise or level fluctuations affect the communication data, enabling rapid and efficient debugging.
Upper and lower threshold levels can be set to judge the state of each bit.
Other features include data-search, field-jump and stuff-bit calculation functions.
The complete analyser comprises a four-channel digital oscilloscope and a 16bit logic analyser, allowing the user to analyse CANbus data from the system under investigation.
