Xilinx will showcase its latest embedded processing and DSP technology in innovative applications at the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference.

Xilinx will showcase its latest embedded processing and DSP technology in innovative applications at the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference (Hall 12 Stand 511), 12th to 15th February 2007 in Nuremburg, Germany.

Demonstrations will highlight a broad portfolio of innovative processing solutions that provide performance and customisation across a range of end markets.

Demonstrations will include 3D imaging for facial reconstruction, highlighting the acceleration of hardware over software in high performance medical video-based applications.

The System Generator for DSP will be shown designing high performance DSP systems using Virtex-4 SX FPGAs.

The tool provides abstractions that enable designers to develop highly parallel systems, providing system modelling and automatic code generation from Simulink and Matlab.

There will be a demonstration of the Xylon LogiCraft2 board, powered by Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGAs, showcasing the ability to deliver multi-user infotainment on an affordable, highly integrated, and scalable platform.

A second similar system will also demonstrate a parameterisable and scalable 3D OpenGL graphics solution using Xylon LogicBricks IP and a Xilinx MicroBlaze embedded soft processor.

And a further demonstration will feature an integrated software solution for designing embedded processing systems using Xilinx Spartan-3E FPGAs with MicroBlaze soft processor cores.

This will highlight the ease of use by architecting a processor system using the Platform Studio tool.
