Improved production processes and a new dielectric have resulted in thinner layer thickness, giving capacitors in the CGB series a total height of either 0.50 or 0.45mm. The series is designed to facilitate slimmer designs in a range of applications, including mobile phones, handheld devices, displays and other audio-visual products.
The CGB series currently consists of eight capacitors covering a range of voltages ratings from 6.3 to 25V with tolerance values of +/-20% throughout.
These parts are available in two separate case sizes: CGB3xx capacitors feature a case size of 1.6 x 0.8mm, and CGB4xx parts feature a case size of 2.0 x 1.2mm.
The CGB3xx family features three capacitors with capacitance values ranging from 0.47 to 2.2uF and the CGB4xx family features five parts with capacitance values ranging from 1 to 4.7uF, making them suitable for decoupling, smoothing and charge pump applications.
The entire CGB series is RoHS compliant, completely lead-free and has a specified operating temperature range between -55 and +85C.
The CGB series is available now, supplied either in volume tape-and-reel packaging or in sample books for testing purposes.
