‘Capacitance’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release MLCC can be used in PA and front-end modules from AVX, which we summarised at the time by saying "AVX has created what it claims is the industry's smallest multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) for PA and front-end modules, IC packaging, mobile phones and other applications with limited board space.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release ChipSESD devices help to protect mobile phones from Tyco Electronics: "Tyco's 0201- and 0402-size ChipSESD devices help to protect: mobile phones, digital cameras and camcorders, computer I/O ports, keypads, low-voltage DC lines, speakers, headphones and microphones.".
In February 2011, we covered the news from AVX - take a look at Capacitors suit use in microwave RF/IF amplifiers which says: "AVX's MK capacitor series provides low ESR and handles high RF currents in applications such as microwave RF/IF amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filter networks and MRI systems.".
Take a look also at the news release from Apache Design Solutions, CPM for true co-analysis of the chip and system, as well as DC to HV DC converters for small-area applications from Emco High Voltage, and Multilayer ceramics replace tantalum capacitors from Murata Electronics.
