Wire-wound inductors go lead-free
The NLV32 and NLCV32 SMD are lead-free wire-wound inductors for signal lines
The NLV32 and NLCV32 SMD are lead-free wire-wound inductors forsignal lines. The inductors are long-term replacements for theNL32 and NLC32 products, respectively. The new devices supportTDK's environmental vision and strategy, and will allowdesigners to follow the EU RoHS Directive (Restriction ofHazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) forlead-free electrical equipment in advance of the July 2006deadline.

The electrical characteristics and reliability of theNL(C) V series are the same as the current NL(C) series. Therefore current TDK customers will be able to transfer easilyto the new series.
The NL(C)V series is ideal for telecomapplications such as ADSL, cordless phones and basestations, automotive applications such as car radio/navigation systems, dashboards and airbags and AV applications such as STB, DVD andTV.
Designers looking to use lead-free wire-wound inductors wouldhave their needs met by TDK's new products.

TDK proactively accepts its environmentalresponsibilities and strives to enable designers to use lead-freecomponents in advance of the EU deadline.' The NLCV32 has ahigher current capability (around 40%) compared with the NLV32.The NLV32 has a range between 0.01 and 470uH, whereas the NLCV32has a range between 1 and 330uH.
Storage and operatingtemperatures range from -40 to +85C.
