DIN-rail power supplies work with DeviceNet
DeviceNet-enabled DIN-rail power supplies provide efficient, reliable, low-cost-of-ownership power to complement DeviceNet control systems.
Puls has two new DIN-rail power supplies aimed at the growing DeviceNet market.
DeviceNet is a low-cost communications link used to connect industrial devices, typically in factory automation applications.
Devices such as limit switches, photoelectric sensors, valve manifolds, motor starters, process sensors, barcode readers, variable frequency drives, panel displays and operator interfaces may be connected to a DeviceNet network eliminating expensive hard wiring.
The direct connectivity provides improved communication between devices as well as important device-level diagnostics not easily accessible or available through hard wired I/O interfaces.
The two Puls DeviceNet enabled power supplies are the QS5.DNET and QS10.DNET.
Both are derivatives of the market leading Dimension QS family.
The QS5.DNET offers a fixed 24V DC output at 3.8A, whereas the QS10.DNET has a user-adjustable 24V DC output rated at 8A.
Each has a 3-year warranty.
Common features to both power supplies include 100-240V AC input range, NEC Class 2 compliance, DeviceNet approval, up to 92% efficiency, active power factor correction, full output power over temperature range -25 to +70C, negligible inrush current, DC-OK relay contact and time saving, reliable quick-connect spring-clamp terminals.
Harry Moore, Managing Director of Puls UK comments: "DeviceNet provides a simple, networking solution that reduces the cost and time to wire and install factory automation devices".
"Our two new QS DeviceNet enabled DIN-rail power supplies provide efficient, reliable, low cost of ownership power supplies which complement DeviceNet control systems".
The Puls DeviceNet DIN-rail power supplies have been specially designed to fully meet DeviceNet requirements.
The special features of Puls DeviceNet power supplies are; the nominal and overload characteristics are designed for DeviceNet systems, large load capacitors can be charged in a very short period of time, after turn on, the output voltage increases according to the DeviceNet timing specification, the upper level of the output voltage is limited to protect the network.
In addition Puls DeviceNet DIN-rail power supplies offer outstanding high efficiency, compact sise, high immunity to transients and power surges, low electromagnetic emissions and a comprehensive international approval package.
A range of accessories are available to assist system builders, these include, wall-mounting bracket, side mounting bracket and diode decoupling module.
Puls DeviceNet DIN-rail power supplies are available from stock for next day delivery.
