Vogt briefed with sensor development
Omron has announced the appointment of Jens Vogt as Market Development Manager - Sensor Products, to the European Microelectronics (ME) business development team
Vogt will leverage his experience and knowledge of the sensor market to develop Omron's sensor portfolio and provide expert technical support to customers throughout Europe. Based in the Munich office, Vogt joins a newly established European Marketing team dedicated to increasing the penetration of Omron's new ME products in emerging markets including wireless portable devices, medical, optical networking, building automation, industrial and high speed broadband communications applications.

Reporting to Michael Sturm, Vogt will work alongside Steve Drumm, Market Development Manager - Photonics Products.
Commenting on his new role, Vogt said: 'I look forward to building on the success of Omron's existing electromechanical business'.
'My strengths in monitoring competitive technology and market trends will help to expand our range of sensor products and steer us into new, fast-growing application areas'.
Vogt joins Omron from Infineon where he spent three years in a technical marketing position within the sensor department delivering worldwide customer support for the company's range of Hall sensor IC switches and linear Hall sensor ICs targeted at the automotive industry.
Prior to this role, he worked as Application Engineer for Infineon specialising in 32bit microcontrollers and providing dedicated technical sales and design-in support for customers.
