An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Oscillator for PCIe-based embedded applications from MSC Vertriebs, which we summarised at the time by saying "MSC Vertriebs has launched the SiT9107, a MEMS-based HF oscillator from Sitime, designed for applications such as Ethernet switches, solid-state drives, optical line terminals and servers.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Saelig offers USB-connected acceleration sensor from Saelig: "Saelig has introduced Joywarrior24F14, a high-resolution USB-connected three-axis acceleration sensor with 125ug sensitivity for tilt, low-frequency vibration sensing and human input applications.".
In November 2010, we covered the news from IQD Frequency Products - take a look at MEMS oscillator fits fibre-channel applications which says: "At Electronica 2010, IQD announced the availability of a high-frequency MEMS oscillator for applications such as fibre channel, Ethernet 10G, HDMI, SATAS and USB3. ".
Take a look also at the news release from Murata Electronics, MEMS rate sensor for the automotive market, as well as MEMS spectrometer features ultra-small design from Hamamatsu Photonics, and High-g acceleration sensors for car airbags from ST Microelectronics.
