‘Microcontrollers’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release SMSIS-DSP library of signal-processing algorithms from ARM, which we summarised at the time by saying "ARM has released Version 2.0 of the ARM Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS), a vendor-independent hardware abstraction layer containing extensions for the Cortex-M4 processor.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Yagi antenna used on near-space balloon project from Low Power Radio Solutions: "Low Power Radio Solutions has provided a high-sensitivity, omnidirectional Yagi antenna to four amateur space enthusiasts who have now managed five high-altitude balloon flights into near space.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from NXP Semiconductors - take a look at Microcontrollers designed for multi-applications which says: "NXP Semiconductors has launched the SmartMX2, a range of secure microcontrollers designed for applications such as e-government, banking, pay TV, mobile transactions and public transport. ".
Take a look also at the news release from MSC Vertriebs, Motor control demonstration kit for drive systems , as well as MCU devices facilitate IO-Link functionality from Renesas Technology, and Freescale MCUs target automotive applications from Freescale Semiconductor.
