‘Optical Switches’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Photo IC for optical switching applications from Hamamatsu Photonics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a photo IC that is designed for optical switches and provides an analogue waveform output, proportional to the intensity of incident pulsed light. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release QDR and DDR SRAMs for reducing power consumption from Cypress Semiconductor: "Cypress Semiconductor has announced Quad Data Rate (QDR) and Double Data Rate (DDR) SRAMs at 36-Mbit and 18-Mbit densities, for networking use in medical imaging and military signal-processing.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Master Distributors - take a look at Carling switches target transportation industry which says: "Master Distributors has announced that it now carries a range of switches, including rocker, toggle, pushbutton and rotary styles, manufactured by Carling Technologies.".
Take a look also at the news release from Cissoid, High-temperature data-transmission system unveiled, as well as DC/DC uModule PoL regulator for RAID systems from Linear Technology, and Ambient-light sensor suited for tablet PCs from Maxim Integrated Products.
