Comprising the Phytec Rapid Development Kit and iSystem iPDP Starter Kit, it includes everything an embedded systems engineer needs to immediately start developing software and reference designs. The kits are available for the Motorola PowerPC MPC565 and Atmel AT91M55800A (ARM7TDMI) with the Intel XScale PXA255 kit coming soon.
Each kit contains a single board computer module mounted on a development board that features all the hardware needed for immediate power-up of the module, including DB-9 nodes (configurable as RS232 and/or RS485/CAN interfaces), power connectors and a wire wrap area for easy integration of user-designed peripheral hardware and circuitry.
It also includes the winIdea complete Windows based development and debug environment, a full GNU C/C++ compiler and a JTAG-LPT interface module.
A quick-start manual and complete working sample project ensure a fast debug start.

HCS08 emulation comes onboard
A new iSystem iCard for the iC3000/iC4000 series of universal emulators interfaces to the HCS08 via the BDM connection, and supports 5 to 1.8V technology
The JTAG-LPT interface is directly connected to the JTAG connector of the microcontroller module to ensure compatibility with production hardware at a later stage.
iSystem's embedded emulator tools are used by over 10,000 engineers worldwide.
Its popular winIdea embedded work environment integrates all iSystem emulation tools in one powerful integrated development environment.
The key strength of winIdea for embedded engineers is its ease of use and consistency on different projects.
"The combination rapid development kit provides engineers with everything they need to start developing a full system as soon as they open the box", said Jonathan Hector, Managing Director at iSystem UK.
"Embedded systems engineers no longer have to suffer the time consuming task of sourcing and configuring the different development components".
The combination kits are available directly from iSystem in the UK or from Phytec distributors.
