An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Low-power MCU used in Aquiba smart water meter from Energy Micro, which we summarised at the time by saying "Aquiba has selected Energy Micro's energy-friendly EFM32 Gecko microcontroller (MCU) for use in its A200 smart water meter.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Evaluation and prototyping kit for Kinetis MCUs from IAR Systems: "IAR Systems has released an IAR Kickstart kit for Freescale Semiconductor's ARM Cortex-M4-based Kinetis microcontrollers (MCUs) that are compatible with the Freescale Tower System development system.".
In February 2011, we covered the news from Summit Microelectronics - take a look at DC-DC powers advanced multi-rail digital chipsets which says: "Summit's SMB109 programmable DC-DC is ideal for powering advanced multi-rail digital chipsets in a range of communications, computing and consumer applications.".
Take a look also at the news release from Microchip Technology, Microcontrollers enable communications systems, as well as IR and ambient light sensors for HI applications from Silicon Laboratories, and CAN Physical Layer transceiver for home automation from NXP Semiconductors.
